If you are interested in getting involved, call Jenny Hansell, NECC's Executive Director, to learn more about how you can help!

Live and Silent Auction: Do you have a shop or restaurant in the area? A special skill? Are you crafty, handy, or just hard working? Donate an item, gift certificate, or a few hours of your time to the auction. We can also combine your gift with others to make a unique themed gift basket and raise even more to support the center.

Some of the auction items we’ve offered in the past might inspire your creative new ideas: a home-baked pie or cake....a dozen fresh eggs each week for a year…a bird walk ….a basket of children's art supplies...A fly fishing lesson… a gift certificate …. A computer lesson… a pencil portrait…. A hand-knit afghan….a night in an apartment in NYC….a basket of fresh garden veggies….a house in the Caribbean for a week…a ride to and from the airport…dog-sitting… If you have something to donate please give us a call at 518-789-4259 or email Jenny at neccmillerton.org. (Replace the "at" with an @ in your email, of course!)

A Partnership with
New Orleans

The high school students in NECC's Community Partnership with Schools and Business are planning an "alternative spring break" in which they will travel to New Orleans from April 1- 7 to help rebuild a community center and assist residents in many ways. (Learn more about the project and its mission.)

Proceeds from the benefit will help develop this partnership into a long-term one, so our students will have the opportunity to travel, learn about different places and people, and give of themselves in many ways. Read their blog now!

We are developing this project in conjunction with Bard College, with the idea that their students will mentor ours and help them see the value and appeal of a college education and help them chart a path to prepare themselves for the college experience.
