Directions to the North East Community Center

We are located on South Center Street, which is 1 block east of the
intersections of Rte 22 and Rte 44 in the heart of Millerton, NY. When coming down South Center, NECC is the 2nd building on your right, bright red, adjacent to a playground.

From Poughkeepsie / points West
From Great Barrington / MA
From Hartford / points East
From Rhinebeck

From New York City and Points South:

Take 684 north, to where it ends at Route 22 (ignore previous signs for Route 22.)

Follow it north for about 45 minutes – you’ll pass through several small towns. When you reach Amenia, continue another 9 miles north to the next light. This is Route 44 / Main street. Turn right, and take your next right onto South Center Street.

By Train: take the Metro North to the Wassaic station (the last one on the line.)

From Hartford and points East:
Follow Rte 4 West (it twists and turns) through Torrington and Goshen. A few miles past Goshen you will reach a 4-way stop with a red-flashing light. 

Rte 4 turns left, but you stay straight, onto Rte 128 towards West Cornwall. In 4 miles or so, you will enter W. Cornwall and cross a covered bridge. After the bridge,  turn Right on Rte 7. In 5 miles or so,

Bear left on Rte 112, and follow to the end, about 8 miles. (You pass Hotchkiss school about 2/3 of the way across.)  It ends at Rte 44, and  turn left on Rte 44.   Follow Rte 44 into Millerton, about 3 miles. 

***You will pass a Grand Union and CVS, and one stoplight, at Maple Avenue. After the light, 44 curves sharply to the left in downtown Millerton. Just after the curve, turn Left on South Center Street.

 Alternatively, follow Rte 44 to Canaan and continue on 44 all the way to Millerton..

From Great Barrington and MASS:
Take Rte 7 South to Canaan, turn right on Rte 44. (Or take Rte 41 South to
Salisbury. When you get to Lakeville, bear right onto 44) Follow 44 all the
way into Millerton (about 3 miles from Lakeville.)

Then follow directions from *** above.

From Poughkeepsie: Follow the Arterial onto Rte 44.   Take all the way to
Amenia. Rte 44 turns left and merges with Rte 22 for 9 miles -- follow this
into the town of Millerton. At the light (Rte 44 turns right, Rte 22
continues north) turn Right onto 44. Take your first right turn, onto South
Center Street.

From Rhinebeck: Follow Rte 199 past Pine Plains to where it ends at Rte
22/Rte 44. Turn left (north) and stay on this road about 3 miles to the
light in Millerton. At the light (Rte 44 turns right, Rte 22 continues north)
turn Right onto 44. Take your first right turn, onto South Center Street.
