About Donations of Stuff other Than Monetary:
We gratefully accept donations of certain items, such as arts and crafts supplies. We also can often make good use of garden tools, outdoor furniture, children's books, toys and games in good condition, and some kitchen items.
However, please don't feel offended if you offer us something and we decide not to take it. Your much-beloved and well-worn easy chair, good condition but out-of-date computer, old clothes or other well intentioned gift may not fit into our limited space or we may just not be able to put it to good use. It doesn't help the community if it's stashed away in our storage shed any more than if it's still in yours. But we appreciate the thought, so please do give us a call if you're considering getting rid of something and wonder if we can use it!
Note: a wonderful way to get rid of all kinds of things is by posting it on Freecycle. Just what it sounds like, it's a way to find a new home for just about anything (and not clutter up our landfills!)
