Millerton's newest attraction, a farmer's market, Saturdays this summer! Growers from Millerton, Sharon, Ancramdale, Pine Plains, Sheffield, and Falls Village will be bringing their organic and "clean-grown" vegetables, meat, honey, eggs, and prepared foods to market.

Spearheaded by volunteer Karen Kisslinger, this project seeks to promote and assist local farms and promote the value of food grown and made without chemicals, both for human health and the environment.

A special feature of the market will be the students in NECC's Community Partnerships with Schools and Business, who will work on a different farm each week, and then sell some of the produce at the market. This makes it easier for farmers who can't spare a staff person, and provides important education and entrepreneurial experience to the students.

Participating Growers include:

Herondale Farm, Ancram
