Descriptions
Mom’s Morning Out: Get a break, get things done, while your kids receive great quality care, creative activities and play. Ages 1 – 5. Limit of 10, must pre-register. Led by Mark Rowntree and staff. $4/first child; $2/second child.
Growing Together: Creative
activities, free play, snack, and supportive discussions of parenting
topics. Babies/toddlers with parents. Child care provided.
Pre-registration required. Parenting discussion led by Lauren Astor, child care supervised by John Mahoney. $15/2
month session.
Senior Exercise Class:
light weights and stretching. Senior Citizens.
Led by Carolyn McEnroe. Free
but donations are welcome!
Music for Preschoolers: A lively session of singing, movement, instruments, for parents and babies through age 5. Taught by Tom Hanford/Kath Bloom. More info about the teachers: www.Tomhanford.com. Fall Session begins September 29.
Extra Helpings Food Cooperative: Get $35 worth of groceries for $14 through the Dutchess County Community Action Partnership. Fill out a menu and pay at the beginning of the month, pick up groceries at the end of the month. Anyone can participate. Menus available at beginning of each month at NECC. Jewelry Making Workshop: Sundays from 2-4pm, for all ages, beginning September 24th. Bring your mom, bring your daughter, or come on your own, and learn to make necklaces and bracelets like those fantastic Sundance Catalog creations, for a fraction of the cost! The class will be taught by Debbe Heller-Lewkowicz, an art teacher who runs "For Arts' Sake" in New York City. Fees vary depending on the project (but there will also be something very affordable planned!)
