Fair Food Assessment
In 2023-2024, with support from the CUNY School of Public Health, coalition members designed and completed a regional “Fair Food Assessment” including surveys and focus groups. The assessment gathered data on food and grocery needs of low and middle income residents as well as on the capacity and constraints of regional farmers, food access providers and community organizations. Findings from the assessment helped inform a sliding scale farmstand pilot at NECC in 2024 and the establishment of a brick and mortar sliding scale grocery by Tri Corner FEED in 2025.
