Youth Programs

Connecting youth age five through teens with educational and employment resources that enhance their personal growth, learning, and life skills.

After School

Our After-School Program operates out of Webutuck schools for students in PreK-3rd grade. Our program is designed around inquiry-based learning, outdoor education and restorative practices. The social-emotional development of our students is paramount, and we believe that in order to grow as people environments should focus on the whole child. Classes have limited space. Enroll now for the 2025-2026 school year!

Summer Enrichment Program

NECC’s summer program is available to children entering PreK (4) through 6th grade. The 2026 program runs from July 6th - August 14th, Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 3:45 pm. Our program is designed around inquiry-based learning, outdoor education, and restorative practices. This year we’re studying animals of North America! Inquire today.

Teen Futures

This after-school club for students aged 13-18 allows students to develop creative, social, and collaborative skills in a democratic environment. As a project-based program, our students determine what activities they will organize and lead in consultation with our teachers. Our current project is Baking for a Cause where we bake goods for our very own food pantry.

Teen Team: Community Service Program

The North East Community Center's Teen Team is a no-cost youth-directed program for high school aged students living in the Webutuck School District. The teens participate in and help plan community service, cultural, educational, and recreational activities throughout the year. The program helps teens gain knowledge, self esteem, and foster their community engagement.

Teen Jobs

Teen Jobs is an internship and work skills training program for students ages 14 through 18. Locally, the program is a partnership among the North East Community Center, the Webutuck School District, and area businesses. Since 2003, NECC’s Teen Jobs program has placed more than 500 students in internships with local employers.
