North East Community Center’s Teen Team has worked with the Dutchess County Path to Promise initiative since 2019 to engage in conversations about community improvements. These conversations take place with county executives and Path to Promise strives to ensure that all young people in Dutchess County – from birth through age 19 – have the resources they need to achieve their full potential as they grow into young adults. Students have participated in forums at NECC and Marist College, respectively. They answered questions, gave feedback, and learned how they can best initiate change. We are eager to continue conversations with our Teen Team members and discuss Safety, Physical Health, Mental Health, Material Basics, Learning, and Family & Social Relationships.
